PCBC has
been working with Deloitte since March 2004 and is hoping
to continue our relationship well in to 2007.
For the
duration of the sponsorship Deloitte will provide Pembroke
with a generous contribution, which will enable us to maintain
the high standards of coaching and equipment which allow us
to put out the fastest crews. |

Sponsor Liason
at the time and former Men's Captain Ronan O'Kelly said, “we
are delighted that Deloitte have chosen to sponsor us. Their investment
in Pembroke will be rewarded on race day. Our success of past years
has been largely due to our strong investment in equipment and professional
coaching; Deloitte will enable us to continue this tradition, and
continue to put out the fastest crews in Oxford.”
Deloitte’s
point of View….
Deloitte, one
of the ‘Big Four’ in the Accountancy world, is committed
to recruiting outstanding graduates and this year we are recruiting
approximately 1,200 graduates into 21 different service lines across
our offices in the United Kingdom.
Our strategic
objective in 2005 is to enhance the Deloitte brand considerably
amongst the student population of Oxford. Since we will be recruiting
over 1,200 graduates nationally, our aim is to be one of the top
two private sector graduate recruiters on campus. However, although
our target numbers are increasing, our primary aim will be to recruit
a greater share of the very best students. We will need to be innovative,
creative and committed to do this and have put strategies into place
to ensure we adhere to our aims.
Deloitte recently
jumped from Number 10 up to Number 6 in the Top Ten of the Times
Top 100 Graduate Employers recent survey, which means we are the
fastest moving firm in the Top Ten. We have achieved this by investing
more money in Graduate Recruitment, increasing our profile and the
quality of our activities on Campus, and Deloitte’s aim is
to be in the top three within the next three years and ultimately
the number one employer of choice.
The 2006 Academic
year promises to be an exciting and challenging time for Deloitte.
Our increased energy and extra budget is being directed towards
higher campus visibility by means of innovative and high profile
campus campaigns, larger and more active campus teams for Oxford,
and a larger Summer Vacation Scheme.
We look forward
to meeting with the student population at Pembroke and working with
them to kick start their careers in the exciting and rewarding field
of Professional Services.
