With the summer training alone grinding some rowers down Alex Sants and Jonathan Ross chose to test themselves out at Oxford City.
Racing in Novice Singles, Ross overcame scullers from Mansfield College, Hinskey Sculling School and Vesta Rowing Club to claim the title, recording open water verdicts in all races.
Racing in a pair with a former Radley compatriot, Alex Sants dominated Elite Pairs to win a straight final by four lengths. On the Sunday, racing over a shorter distance, this pair dominated once again, beating Abingdon by clear water to claim the Senior 2 Title, picking up a trophy that had been presented to the regatta by Edward VII during his time at Magdalen.
